A cool down has occurred.
With a bit of precipitation.
Thanks to all who have been doing a rain dance for the past three months.
Keep it up.
I thought it was going to be a constant in our lives.
The dry air.
The heat.
The cracked earth begging for a drink.
We were just about to be taken over by grasshoppers.
But then my nephew came home.
And he brought some relief.
He lives in Houston and the last few times he's come back to Illinois to visit a cool front comes through.
All to taunt him and to remind him why he likes the heat of Texas.
