Aaahhh, summer...
corn on the cob with extra butter and salt
grilled peaches

waiting for the bats to come out at night
and giggling when they swoop too close
lightning bugs, grasshoppers, butterflies and fat hairy bumblebees
the arrival of coneflowers and lilies
will there be any fawns in the side yard this year? YES, two fawns again!
oohing and aahing each time we see the doe and fawns
miniature golf
wandering around a zoo, either our local AWESOME zoo,
St. Louis Zoo or Lincoln Park Zoo
air conditioning when it's too hot to breathe outside
driving with the windows down in the car and getting our hair all knotted up
Zoe's t-ball games
Cardinals and White Sox games
eating all of the junk food we can at Cardinals and White Sox games
mowing the path to the woods so we can wander...
heading to the library for some good reading material,
even if it's just "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!"
lazing in the hammock
watching the girls imagination come alive
