No matter how much you would like to stay in the house during a blizzard, if you have a barn full of animals you must head outside.
When I opened the door to the house, cats came running in.
They know where the warm spots are.
Beds, the couch, a lap.
The south side of the barn stall was open.
The wind is blowing from the northwest.
Most of the snow that you can see in the stall is coming in from the cracks in the doors on the north side of the barn.
We shoveled it out.
I found an old dog bed and shoved it under the door.
Chad got sheets of plastic and started stapling them to the outside of the north stall door.
Trying to keep the snow out when all it wants to do is to desperately get in.
The dogs came in the barn.
They love sniffing around and eating anything "neat" that they may find.
Look in the corner of this picture behind Willie...I shoved a cat bed into a snow loving crack.
Take that Ol' Man Winter!
Even the kids came out.
They are playing under the pool deck.
Out of the wind, but still in the snow.
Ingenuity abounds on the farm during a snowstorm.
What a great reminder that once this was how most people lived. Thanks for sharing!
